Trey Harrell is a lifelong conservative, constitutional attorney, and devoted family man committed to serving as a strong voice for the Lowcountry.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Charleston School of Law, Trey supports local businesses and protects the Constitutional rights of individuals with his law practice at the Peper Law Firm.

His legal career and public service began as a clerk in Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson’s Charleston Office, a clerk with the Charleston County Public Defender’s Office, and a Law Clerk to Judge J. C. Nicholson, Jr. Trey also prosecuted criminals as an Assistant Solicitor in South Carolina’s First Circuit Solicitor’s Office, before working as an associate in the Strom Law Firm managed by former U. S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina, J. Pete Strom, Jr.

Trey is licensed to practice law in all South Carolina State Courts and the South Carolina District Federal Court.

A strong advocate of our Second Amendment rights, Trey is a proud member of the NRA. With a strong passion for South Carolina’s outdoors and as an avid hunter and fisherman, Trey is also a donor to Ducks Unlimited.

Trey is married to the former Amber Dantzler. Amber, like Trey, is no stranger to selflessness and servitude as she accepted the call to teaching the youth of South Carolina. Amber has taught in the South Carolina Public Schools. Trey and Amber are the proud parents of Catherine Louise “Lucy” Harrell. Together, they attend First Baptist Church of Charleston.

Born and raised in a family of public servants, Trey was encouraged to serve the community at a young age. Trey deeply cares about improving the quality of life we enjoy. He volunteers his time at several local Adopt-A-Highway projects and serves as spokesman for Donate Life.

Committed to leadership even in college, Trey served as Vice President of the Law Republicans, Secretary of his fraternal organization, and Senator in the Student’s Bar Association. Trey currently serves on the Alumni Board of the Charleston School of Law and sits on the membership committee of the Palmetto Society of Charleston.

His experience leading and promoting conservative values, combined with his passion for serving our community, makes Trey the best choice to serve Mount Pleasant and Charleston in the State House.
